Contemporary Tokyo Beijing Space is pleased to announce the solo exhibition of Kyaraai "2+1" from December 23 (Sat) to January 13 (Sat), 2012.
Born in Osaka in 1996, Kyaraa absorbs a variety of things in this age of diverse values through SNS and has a strong sense of floating within herself, where she loses track of what is right and even her own opinions and attributes, and her art production serves as a receptacle for this. She continues to create works that draw the viewer in with their original catchiness, such as the large eyes like those of girls' manga that she was familiar with as a child and the colors like those of fancy goods so that the viewer can communicate with the people depicted in her works.
This exhibition will be her first solo show in China, and we look forward to seeing it.
