[Artist's Statement]

In my artwork, I have always imagined children who cannot be defined as male or female, adults or children, existing in this world or another, and living in an undefined, immature state. I continue to depict them in my paintings.

They merely exist within the artwork, standing silently in that space.

They always carry a hint of fear, and I cannot determine where their gaze is directed.

Are they staring with determination at something, or are their eyes empty, seeing nothing?

Perhaps their gaze reflects our own, living in the farthest corner of the East.

Through painting and animation, I wholeheartedly portray them, experiencing it in this way.
